Scammers Taking Advantage of Google Reputation

Posted on August 2, 2025 by Admin

Be cautious of a recent scam where a caller, pretending to be from Google, informs you that your Gmail account has been compromised. The scammer’s caller ID may even show “Google,” but you should not trust it. They will then try to convince you to click on a link or provide a code to reset your account.

Clicking this link gives the scammer access to your account. Instead of engaging with these calls, hang up immediately and never click on unsolicited links. Google is highly unlikely to ever call you directly, and you should use two-factor authentication to protect your account.
